 Fly Kathmandu to Biratnagar. Drive to Darjeeling. (5 ½ hrs) On

ORCHID TOUR: 06 DAYS
Sikkim is an orchid lover's paradise where one can find it
over 600 of species. The most popular varieties found in
Sikkim are CYMBIDIUM, CATTALEYA and DENDROBJEM. These orchids
flourish in the wild and in the damp subtropical forest as
well as in the temperate and alpine vegetation. Sikkim and
Kalimpong, an important area for rearing of orchids, where a

BUDDHISM TOUR OF SIKKIM: 06 DAYS
Guru Padma Sambhava, the great Buddhist saint and the restorer
of Buddhism in
Tibet, had prophesied during his travel in the 7th century
that amongst the holy hidden land or 'Bey-Ney"; personally
consecrated by him, 'Bey-Yul Demazong' Sikkim was the holiest.
Here he had hidden a vast religious treasure of Holy
Scriptures, icons etc. to be discovered and interpreted in the
future. It was the fulfilment of this prophecy when Lhatsum
Chenpo, Rikzen Chenpo and Ngadok sempo Chenpo came to
Sikkim
to propagate Buddhism. The three monks met at Yuksom in 1641
and coroneted the first Chogyal - the Religious King. These
events have give shape to a rich heritage of Buddhism in
Sikkim manifesting in over 200 Monasteries, Chorten's, holy
caves and influencing the society in general. This itinerary
has been drawn up to provide you a lasting experience of the '
Buddha Dharma ' as practiced in Sikkim.
